Volunteering with Oxfam in Hertford
Every week more than 20,000 volunteers give over 100,000 hours of their time to help run more than 750 Oxfam shops. Just four hours of your time each month could help buy bricks to build a school, it could help with projects to provide clean drinking water or with projects to establish agricultural resources for self sufficiency.
As a shop volunteer you get the chance to try a variety of tasks. You could serve customers, sort and price valuable books, manage stock, design window displays, price collectable items for possible Internet sale or deal with other customer enquiries. You choose what hours and days you want to work, and you get plenty of training and support, as well as getting to meet a great bunch of people of all ages from school students to seniors.
If you're interested in volunteering with Oxfam in Hertford, just call into the shop or, if you prefer, why not phone and ask for an application form to be sent to you? |
